The Austin Air Allergy Machine Jr uses HEGA (High Efficiency Gas Arrestance) technology. This technology was originally developed by the U.S military to protect their personnel against a wide variety of chemical, biological and nuclear agents.
The HEPA filters 99.97% of all particles down to 0.3 microns in size and 95% of all particles down to 0.1 microns.
The combination of the Military Carbon Cloth and True Medical HEPA, makes this HEGA system one of the best air filtration systems available.

The Austin Air Allergy Machine® was selected for use in a clinical trial at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Centre. The team monitored a group of children with asthma who were regularly exposed to second hand smoke.
